Your files stay yours.
Status Pocket processes media locally on your device. It has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or media-upload service.
Data collection
Status Pocket does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal data. Imported and saved photos and videos remain on your device. A file leaves Status Pocket only when you deliberately use a Share or Download action.
Android access
You choose a specific folder through Android’s system folder picker. The app keeps that scoped permission so it can show the selected folder after restart. You can remove access from the Privacy screen.
The Android app has no internet, network-state, contacts, phone, notification, accessibility, location, camera, microphone, or all-files permission. Limited legacy storage permission applies only on Android 9 and older when saving to the gallery.
iPhone and iPad access
Status Pocket cannot read WhatsApp’s private app container. You explicitly provide media with Apple’s Photos picker, Files picker, or Share sheet. The extension and main app exchange only selected files through a private App Group container. Photos access is add-only and requested only when you tap Add to Photos.
Web storage
The web app stores imported media in this browser’s private IndexedDB storage. It uses no remote assets and its Content Security Policy blocks network connections. Clearing this site’s browser data also clears its local media library.
Retention and deletion
Media remains until you delete it in Status Pocket, clear browser data, uninstall the app, or remove the corresponding local files. Status Pocket keeps no server copy, so there is no server-side deletion process.

Status Pocket is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. Save or share media only when you have the right or permission to do so.
